Thus, circumstances were unfavourable for Cruise regarding the terms of the prenuptial agreement. Cruise is rumoured to have left Kidman three months pregnant and the actress later miscarried. However, this information has never been publicly confirmed by the parties. In a 2006 issue of Ladies' Home Journal, the authors quoted the actress saying that Cruise meant a lot to Kidman, and means a lot now. To Kidman, he was just Tom, and to everyone else, he was a star. Additionally, the actress said that the news of the divorce came as a shock to her.
