PARTS OF FOUR: CONNECTION BETWEEN HUMAN BODY AND UNIVERSE

Created in a small artisanal studio in Bali, within a dynamic space where unlimited freedom prevails, all Parts of Four products are handcrafted, which means that every piece is slightly unique. This is a place where Even Sugerman, the creative director of the brand, re-explores and merges classical techniques of the past with modern technologies. He is pushing and pulling materials to their limits, intentionally destroying them and then revealing their new features. Even is mostly using natural elements, such as wood, bone and minerals, various metals, leather and, of course, crystals.

Natural materials contain history, energy, form a connection between the human body and the landscape where all of us come from. They act as a trigger to our memory and stimulating our senses. Each piece of jewelry is being transformed, scratched, tarnished, faded, flaked and deformed by Even Sugerman to become part of our own history.

Parts of Four is a reinvention of the contemporary jewelry, with a total disregard for traditional seasonal fashion based on trends. Parts of Four follows the so-called slow design method, wich a focus on conscious philosophical approach of a traditional practice. Repetition and small-scale changed are the key to organic evolution. Each new collection is a reflection of the previous one, overlapping and re-touching Parts of Four iconic pieces. New ideas emerge organically through reworking and fixing the mistakes of the past. Evan Sugerman compares his daily process to those of sound synthesis, layering, combining, filtering, remodeling, tuning and harmonizing.
