Victoria Beckham’s SS20 collection by all means has had the Studio 54 spirit.
There was a story when the event planner Robert Isabell had four tons of glitter dumped in a four-inch layer on the floor of Studio 54 for a New Year’s Eve party. Owner Ian Schrager said it was like “standing on stardust”, and it left glitter that could be found months later in attendees’ clothing and homes.
Under the title “Fashion in Motion”, SS20 was all about movements
This was the first time when the names have been given to the collection pieces: Bowie, Mick, Jarvis Cocker, Faye Dunaway and Saharan jackets could be found amongst those wide volume or, on the contrary, fitted closely to the body garments.
The trousers mostly appeared in either straight leg, slim & skinny or fit & flare styles. Designed to sit at the waist, the fit & flare trousers were fitted throughout the thigh and gently flared out from the knee to floor. The front pleat straight trousers are undeniably Victoria Beckham’s signature during this season.
